Cambridge Scout District comprises of 19 Scout Groups, 6 Explorer Scout Units, a Network Scout Unit and a Cambridge University Scouts and Guides Club (CUSAGC) – all dotted in and around the City of Cambridge.
Currently there are over 1300 young people aged 6 to 25 (boys and girls), and hundreds of Adult Volunteers all benefiting from the Scout programme and Scouting activities. This is delivered by an enthusiastic team of more than 250 adult volunteers.
Scouting in Cambridge is adventure. It provides an opportunity for young people and adult volunteers to develop leadership and team skills through camping, adventurous activities and international travel.
In 2011/2012 Scout Groups in Cambridge ran over 50 camps and expeditions in the UK and Europe and took part in activities include camping, hill walking, canoeing, sailing, mountain biking, climbing, abseiling, shooting and archery.
