Richard Hames, District Commissioner

The role of the DC, is to manage and develop Scouting with Cambridge Distrct.

Assistant District Commissioners (ADC)

ADCs are responsible for the support to sections in Cambridge District.

Beavers 6-8years
Contact Jill Hallas ADC(Beavers)

Jill is Beaver Scout Leader at the 27th Cambridge in Cherry Hinton and is also responsible for the District Beaver Scout Programme. This includes an Activity Day in October at the local Scout Campsite, a Christmas Party, St Georges day activities in April, the County Beaveree in June and a District outing, which has previously been to Legoland, Colchester Zoo and Drayton Manor.
There are currently 220 Beaver Scouts in Cambridge District in 15 Colonies across Cambridge and at Fen Ditton, Milton, Waterbeach and Fulbourn.

Cub Scouts 8-10½ years
Contact Craig Claydon District Cub Leader

Craig is the Cub Scout Leader for the 11th/9th Cambridge in Newnham Croft and is also responsible for the District Cub Scout Programme. This includes the County Cub Scout Challenge, Cubs Cross Country, District Chess Competition, Cubs Football, Swimming Gala, St George's Day activities and the annual District Cub Camp. In 2002 and 2003 Cambridge Cub Scouts also took part in the County Cub Day in London and the Cambridgeshire Cub Scout Activity Weekend in Peterborough.
There are currently 345 Cub Scouts in Cambridge District in 16 Packs across Cambridge and at Fen Ditton, Milton, Waterbeach and Fulbourn.

Scouts 10-14 years
Contact Tony Arnold ADC(Scouts)

Tony is the Group Scout Leader of the 54th Cambridge.
There are currently 230 Scouts in Cambridge District in 13 Troops across Cambridge and at Milton, Waterbeach and Fulbourn.

Scout Network
Contact Sarah Scott Cambridge Scout Network Secretary

Sarah Scott is the secretary of the Cambridge Scout Network. This is a new Scouting section aimed at young men and women aged 18 to 25 years old. The Network provides the opportunity to participate in a wide range of outdoor activities, camps and Jamborees or to work as an adult volunteer in Scouting.

Fellowship
Contact Michael Wright Chairman of Cambridge District Fellowship

Michael is Chairman of the Cambridge District Scout Fellowship. The objective of the Scout Fellowship is to support Scouting in Cambridge. This is achieved through the organising events such as the annual Swimming Gala and St George's Day. There is also a social element thorough a monthly programme of events.
Scout Fellowship is ideal for adults who would like to volunteer in support of Scouting but cannot make the regular commitment that is demanded of a Colony, Pack, Troop or Unit leader.

Activites
Contact Steve O'Keefe ADC(Activities)

Steve O'Keefe is Scout Leader at the 16th Cambridge and is also responsible for providing adults support and advice in relation to adventurous activities in Scouting. This includes the Scout Association Policy Organisation and Rules in respect of Adventurous Activity Authorisations. Steve can also help by linking leaders with adults of appropriate skill and experience in activities such as Hill Walking, Climbing, Abseiling, Sailing, Canoeing etc.

Contact Barry Badcock ADC(Resources)

Barry Badcock is a former GSL of the 7th /23rd with 13th Cambridge and is responsible for the District Newsletter and District email communications. The newsletter is to support adults in Scouting and is produced two or three time a year. It is distributed by email or hard copy for those adults who do not have web access. You should contact Barry if you would like to be included on the email or hard copy circulation list (Note this distribution list is only open to adult volunteers in Scouting)
