| Cambridge Scouts Annual General Meeting 2004 | 3rd May, 2004 |
The Annual General Meeting of the Cambridge District Scout Council will take place in the Diamond Room, Selwyn College, Grange Road, Cambridge on 20th May 2004 at 7.45 for 8.00pm.
The AGM is an opportunity for to say thank you for the part you play in the continuing success of Scouting in Cambridge and we are also looking forward to sharing the highlights of Cambridge Scouting in the past year:
The formation of our Scouting Centenary 2007 team;
The launch of the Cambridge Scout Network for 18 to 25 year olds;
The continued development of Explorer Scouting for 14 to 18 year olds;
A move to the Arts Theatre for the Cambridge Gang Show; and
The introduction of a new Adult Training programme.
The District Cub Camp in June 2003 was typical of the enthusiasm that there is in the District and this is something that we should all be proud of.
The 2004 AGM will provide an opportunity for us to celebrate the contribution of eight fellow Cambridge Scouts; John Wallman, Bob Benton, Rob Farrington, Barry Wallman, Tony Claydon, Richard Crabtree, Pat Farrington and Robert Monk, all of whom received recognition from the Chief Scout in the recent St George’s Day Awards.
It will also provide an opportunity to meet other fellow Scouting colleagues and enjoy a glass of wine, some nibbles and a chat.
We are looking for nominations from those willing to stand for the District Executive and the County Scout Council. These are important roles, the District Executive acts as trustee for the District assets and is responsible for the management of Scouting in Cambridge and the County Scout Council plays a similar role for the County.
We do hope you will able to join us and look forward to seeing you at Selwyn College.
