Cambridge Scout District contains 17 Scout Groups and 5 Explorer Scout Units in and around the city of Cambridge, England. There are currently 800 young people aged from 6 to 25 (boys and girls) that benefit from the Scout training programme and Scout activities.

Scouting provides an opportunity to develop leadership and team skills through camping, adventurous activities and travel.
In 2005 Scout groups in Cambridge ran over 50 camps and expeditions, activities included hill-walking, canoeing and archery. Cambridge Scouts visited Thailand, France, Austria and Malta in 2007. During the summer of 2007 Cambridge scouts joined 40,000 international scouts for 10 days of fun and adventure at the 21st World Scout Jamboree, and the international theme continues in 2008 with planned trips to Ghana and a host of European Countries.

For more details on Scouting in Cambridge, including your nearest group, contact Richard Hames, District Commissioner for Cambridge.
